inovas, Integrating R&D and Human Resource Development, Receives 29th Nikkei New Office Award’s “New Office Promotion Award” and “Kinki New Office Promotion Award”
Nitto Denko Corporation (headquarters: Osaka City; president: Hideo Takasaki; hereinafter “Nitto”) is pleased to announce that inovas, our facility that integrates R&D and human resource development, has received the New Office Promotion Award and Kinki New Office Promotion Award at the 29th Nikkei New Office Award.
The Nikkei New Office Award, established by Nikkei Inc. and the New Office Promotion Association with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry as well as the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, aims to spread and promote the creation of new offices, and celebrates those offices designed with creativity and ingenuity. For the 29th awards, 125 companies submitted applications, and sixteen entries, including inovas, were selected to receive the New Office Promotion Award. inovas was highly rated for its unique design where the entire facility functions as a work space with diverse niche spaces at key locations to trigger innovation.

Nitto intends to use key technologies at inovas as the basis to strengthen our development capabilities in the fields of environmental contribution (“Green”), new energy (“Clean”) and life sciences (“Fine”). Nitto will contribute to our customers’s value creation with innovative ideas, all the while producing numerous new business opportunities.

The is basis for Nitto’s growth is collaboration with customers to create innovation. We established inovas as a forum for developing and refining our capabilites and technologies to create products and services that make our customers say, “This is exactly what we’ve wanted!”
■ Location: Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture (inside Nitto’s Ibaraki Plant)
■ Total floor area: Approximately 20,000 sq. m. (4 stories above ground)
■ Facility makeup: Major offices of corporate R&D, Intellectual Property Department, laboratories, Nitto Analytical Techno-Center, Innovation Center, and Human Resources Development Center
■ Construction began: September 2014
■ Facility opening: March 15, 2016
