Position: Manager, Finance
Company: Nitto, Inc.

Status: Full Time Employment
Directs the financial activities of the Company including accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, credit and collections, and internal control activities. Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of Company's financial data. Ensures compliance with all finance policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishes, or recommends to management, major corporate economic strategies, objectives, and policies for company. Recommends modifications to existing corporate programs.
  • Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Supports Manager, General Accounting to prepare budgets (capital, expense, revenue), reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification.
  • Primary responsibility for Credit and Collections functions for combined organization. Directs activities related to customer account establishment, release of sales orders for shipment, cash application, monitoring of customer account status, collection of past-dues, and all other related functions. Develops and disseminates Credit and Collections policies and procedures.
  • Supervise all Accounts Payable activities including disbursements against vendor invoices and expense reports. Directs activities in investigating discrepancies on vendor invoices. Maintains monthly RNV reconciliation to Trial Balance.
  • Primary responsibility for administration of J-SOX Project for the combined entity. Coordinates with J-SOX consultants and liaises with NJ Corporate Governance Department. Supports all company personnel on development of J-SOX documentation. Reviews and evaluates draft documentation and works with team members to make necessary corrections. Identifies points of improvement and assists with implementation of new procedures as needed to address control gaps. Reports to management and team members on project progress.
  • Supports Senior Manager, Accounting on all Americas Area tax functions. Advises management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions. Approves reports required by tax and regulatory agencies; assures accuracy and timeliness.
  • Directs monthly close functions, including review of journal entries, approval of cash and other balance sheet account reconciliations, preparation of analyses and reports, entries to Diva reporting system, and other activities as required.
  • Oversees all accounting functions related to Nitto Innovations, Inc.
  • Supports Senior Manager, Accounting on audits of company's financial results and controls.
  • Works with senior management team to support ongoing operational needs and ensures that operational financial requirements are aligned with budget. Works with sales management supporting marketing strategies and providing direction on terms and pricing strategies to support the business objectives.
  • Directs the review of accounting policies, processes and procedures to maximize department efficiency.
  • Assists senior management with special projects.

Education & Experience Requirements

Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP). CPA/CMA preferred. Management experience required. Knowledge of trading business (import/export) and manufacturing preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Requires proficiency in Windows computer environment including: word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail and presentation software. Requires knowledge of Quickbooks. Ability to adapt to computerized business system (JDE).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Employee is required to maintain a friendly, cooperative, stable demeanor.
