Title: Marketing Specialist

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manages San Jose innovation center space. Maintains supplies, works with related vendors, organizes activities (including arranging for technical needs, setting up the space, arranging for catering services, handling invitations/gifts, etc.) and conducts tours/activities.
• Proactively facilitates communication with other departments to book innovation center events, utilizing a CRM system, and follow ups on opportunities.
• Has primary responsibility for delivering consistent and distinctive hospitality to innovation center guests.
• Works with innovation center team to conduct activities at other locations and virtually, including employee trainings, explaining the company and products to customers, and conducting product demonstrations. This role will require regular public speaking and dynamic storytelling.
• Contributes to innovation department’s goals & KPIs and reports on progress.
• Develops new initiatives to drive customer engagement.
• Develops, implements and scales new content and activities that accelerate the company’s business objectives.
• Works with a team to create strategies to find and incubate new customer opportunities.
• Provides leadership and creates training programs to develop employees into Nitto people and drive innovation.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in business, marketing, or related field; 2 years’ experience in an innovation center/briefing center/technical center or equivalent role; or combination of education and experience. Experience within a science-based industry is preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities:
• Must have an interest in science and technology.
• Experience with Salesforce or another CRM system is a plus.
• Experience in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop is a plus.
• Requires proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, database management and electronic mail.
• Ability to speak publicly and engage an audience with dynamic storytelling, enthusiasm and authenticity.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain a friendly, cooperative stable demeanor.
• Ability to travel to customer locations, Nitto affiliated companies and events.
