Job Description
Responsible for selling and providing support activities for pressure sensitive tapes, films and other Nitto Denko products. Required to work with engineers, architects, and R&D teams and distribution partners. Aggressively explores new customers to find new applications and new technology.
This individual will:
Identifies market potential, estimates potential sales and develops sales strategy which will result in greatest market share.
Investigates business potential for new products and technologies and reports findings to management.
Regularly communicates with existing accounts, providing sales and technical support. Coordinates various customer issues and presents solutions.
Works closely with customer analyzing application needs; communicates application needs to Sales Team and R&D Department; and, makes recommendations to customers.
Communicates with various levels of management, technical staff, customer support personnel and representatives of affiliated companies to discuss customer requirements and coordinate response activities.
Introduces new products and new technologies to existing customers and makes effort to expand use of new and current products.
Provides Nitto with accurate customer product road maps as well as technology road maps. Guides Nitto in terms of product development, technical capabilities and product strategies to meet customer road map.
Solicits potential customers and makes presentation of products and services.
Maintains records associated with sale of product including pricing, sample shipments, data sheets, catalogs, etc.
Prepares monthly sales forecast and weekly sales activity reports. Creates reports of customer visits.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, Mechanical Engineering degree preferred; 3 or more years experience in sales and technical support; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in international business (trading) is helpful.
