Human Resource Business Partner – Nitto, Inc – Teaneck, NJ
We are seeking an experienced and energetic HR Business Partner to support multiple business units primarily out of our Teaneck NJ location. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
Our HR Business Partner will:
· Works closely with management and employees to improve productivity, organizational effectiveness, ensure compliance and enhance working relationships and communication.
· Observes business processes within assigned unit, and regularly provides HR guidance.
· Maintains awareness of the culture, plans, financial position and competition of the business units. States the effects on operating profit, revenue generation, new product development and or unit output or service delivery for HR recommendations or solutions.
· Meets at least weekly with each business unit.
· Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
· Provides regular performance management guidance to line management (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions.
· Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
· Facilitates process of candidate selection; interviewing; job offer; background check; and candidate on-boarding details; Co-facilitates New Employee Orientation (NEO) program for new hires.
· Provides guidance and input on business unit structures, workforce planning and succession planning.
· Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching; monitors training effectiveness.
· Collaborate with Colleagues in the human resources department to develop policies, programs and solutions.
· When necessary provide coverage in a line manufacturing or customer interface / sales role.
Qualifications and Experience:
· BS Degree in Human Resources, or business related field form a four-year college or university.
· Minimum of 3 – 5 years at an HR Generalist level with emphasis on talent acquisition or employee relations.
· Experience partnering with sales and marketing professionals a plus.
· PHR/SPHR a plus.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to travel weekly to Nitto’s Lakewood, NJ location to support the business unit needs.
· Computer proficient; Intermediate to Advanced Excel and Power Point required.
· Knowledge of Spanish or Japanese beneficial; selected candidate will need to attend language training in Japanese, Spanish or both.
