Nitto Denko Corporation (Headquarters: Osaka, Japan; President: Tatsuya Akagi; hereinafter “Nitto”) announces a temporary lapse in UL certifications regarding the “Fluoroplastic Resin Impregnated Glass Cloth Adhesive Tape NITOFLON™ No. 973UL-S” sold between January 14, 2026, and March 12, 2026, due to deficiencies in the UL certification renewal process. All products currently being sold have completed the required certification procedures and are fully certified.

“Fluoroplastic Resin Impregnated Glass Cloth Adhesive Tape NITOFLON™ No. 973UL-S” is a product subject to UL certification.
Nitto has confirmed that shipments were made during a period when the UL certification was not in effect, due to insufficient verification in our certification management process.
The products affected by this issue are certain lots shipped between January 14, 2026, and March 12, 2026.
Following identification of this issue, Nitto has conducted an investigation into its scope and impact, and has completed corrective actions regarding the certification renewal process. All products currently being sold have completed the necessary certification procedures and are fully certified.
This issue relates solely to deficiencies in the UL certification renewal process and does not affect the quality, performance, or safety of the affected products.

We recognize the seriousness of this matter and will further strengthen our management systems to prevent recurrence of similar issues.
