Mr. Sam Strijckmans – President & CEO

Sam Strijckmans is currently President & CEO of Nitto EMEA and Senior Vice President of Nitto Denko Corporation. Based in Leuven, Belgium, Sam takes the responsibility for the EMEA regional management.
The EMEA region consists of 14 companies with a total turnover of approximately 388 M € and 1.720 employees. From 2014 to 2016 he was Corporate Vice President Finance & Accounting based in Osaka and responsible for global finance projects such as global cash management. From 2012 to 2014 he was Executive Director & Vice Chairman of the Board of Nitto Bento, the N° 1 Hygienic & Industrial Tape company in Turkey, acquired by Nitto in June 2012. He was leading the acquisition process and was subsequently responsible for the post merger integration and execution of the emerging markets growth strategy for Middle East and North Africa. From 2004 until 2012 he was stationed in Genk, Belgium, as Chief Financial Officer of Nitto Belgium. Prior to his career within the Nitto Group he spent 7 years with Solutia Inc., the chemical spin off of Monsanto Corporation which was acquired by Eastman Chemicals in July 2012, where he held various finance assignments of increasing responsibility in Belgium, Canada and Switzerland. His first professional assignment was in audit with KPMG Belgium.

Mr. Yukinori Mizumoto - Vice President EMEA & Director BASE Division

Mr. Yukinori Mizumoto started his career at Nitto Denko Corporation in January 2016 as General Manager for Hygiene Business. Mr. Mizumoto built over 25 years of experience in a Global Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Giant. He started his career as a mechanical engineer in 1989, shifted into project management, then extended into innovation program management. He also built a multi-geographic experience throughout his career with assignments in Japan, Germany, US, Thailand, China and Singapore. Mr. Mizumoto moved to Nitto EMEA in April 2018 to take the lead in new business development. In April 2019 he changed position and took over the responsibility of the BASE division and earlier that year he also became Vice President for the EMEA region.

Mr. Teruaki Nakamura – non-resident Director

Mr. Nakamura started his career with Nitto Denko in Japan in 1985 as a sales representative for the Automotive market. In 2003 after 18 years of working in sales and planning in Nagoya and Tokyo, he started his overseas career in Singapore. After becoming the regional marketing leader of South Asia, he was appointed as the Managing Director of Nitto Denko (Singapore) in 2007.
After returning to Japan, he was first appointed as the General Manager Planning of the Industrial Tape Division and then as the Director of Process Products Division for the Functional Base Products Sector.

Mr. Thierry Desseaux, non-resident director

Mr Desseaux has over 16 years of experience within the Nitto Group. He started his career at Nitto France as Sales Area Account Manager in 1998. In 2001 he moved to a Product Management function for the SPV Division which brought him to the Automotive industry by developing new interior protection solutions.  During 4 years from 2003 he was managing the French OEM business development as KAM before taking the lead of the French Nitto entity. From 2009, back to Automotive as European Sales Manager to lead the expansion of NVH solutions. Being part of the expansion of the Automotive network with (NTR) and the setup of the Russian entity in 2013, he took the position of Transportation Division Director as of 2016.

Mr. Alex Jaspers, non-resident director

Mr. Jaspers has over 16 years of experience within the Nitto Group. He started his career at Nitto Group as application development executive in 1998. In 2000 he created the first market oriented sales team within the Nitto group towards the Automotive OEM market. Between 2000 and 2010 he hold several positions in both market and product functions to widen his experience within the Nitto group business. Between 2010 and 2014 he has been active outside the Nitto group conducting business and sales development activities. As from 2014 he has been responsible for the corporate business strategy in the EMEA region and setup a new technical development centre in Munich, Germany to expand Nitto's business into a new market segment: car electronics. As from April 2016 he took on the position of Director EMEA Base business and is Board member of Nitto Belgium. As of 1 April 2019 he has taken on the position of Director New Business Development EMEA and is also Board member of Nitto EMEA.
