Simulation of energy-saving effect

An electricity charge simulation with PX-7060A applied to single-layer plate glass showed energy-saving effects of 42% in the summer and 35% in the winter. Simply applying PX-7060S, which possesses the highest thermal insulation properties in the industry and top-ranked heat reduction properties, to windows is expected to cut solar heat in the summer season and reduce thermal outflow in the winter season, thus mitigating air-conditioner load (cooling and warming).

Differences from conventional heat-reducing (solar heat-cutting) films

Conventional heat-reducing films are utilized for energy-saving repair of building openings to cut solar heat, thus contributing to a reduction of cooling loads in the summer season. However, although the films are effective in the summer season, they are ineffective in the winter season. With its high thermal insulation capacity, PENJEREX® contributes not only to the reduction of cooling load in the summer season, but also to the reduction of warming load in the winter season.

Demonstrative Experiments for Film Application Work at Nitto Denko Corporation Tohoku Plant (Osaki, Miyagi Prefecture)
