Nitto Named One of the 2016 Top 100 Global IP/Patents-related Innovators, Marking its Sixth Consecutive Year on the List
Nitto Denko Corporation (HO: Osaka City, CEO: Hideo Takasaki, hereinafter referred to as “Nitto”) has been selected as one of the “2016 Top 100 Global Innovators” for the 6th consecutive year by Clarivate Analytics, formerly the IP & Science unit of Thomson Reuters. The “2016 Top 100 Global Innovators” list recognizes the most innovative companies and research institutions in the world.
Companies are selected for the "TOP 100 Global Innovators" based on innovation, striving to comply with the protection of intellectual property rights, and bringing breakthrough inventions to the world. Selection is based on objective data extracted from "Derwent World Patents Index (DWPI)," the world's largest value-added patent database, "Thomson Innovation," an intellectual property research and analysis platform, and evaluation criteria set by Clarivate Analytics.
Nitto has made a companywide effort to appropriately protect the ideas for our inventions with intellectual property rights while also maximizing the value of our ideas by effectively commercializing them.
