Fluoroplastic Products (NITOFLON®)
NITOFLON® is the Registered Trade Name of Nitto Denko’s Fluoroplastic Products.
Fluoroplastics have many advantages including excellent chemical and heat resistance, and desirable electrical properties. Until recently, however, these characteristics have made fluoroplastics difficult to process which restricted their applications. Nitto Denko solved these problems by applying its own processing technology, such as sputter etching techniques, precision engineering technology, and composite technology using different materials. Nitto Denko’s technology has opened up a host of new possibilities for fluoroplastics, such as passing the UL Flammability Standards in the USA. NITOFLON is now used in a very wide range of applications, from electronics to household products.
NITOFLON® Film
The non-adherent NITOFLON® has adhesive properties added to it via single-sided and double-sided adhesive treated film. NITOFLON® films respond to a broad spectrum of needs thanks to the excellent properties of fluoroplastics.
NITOFLON® Filler-added Sheet
The fluoroplastic PTFE has many excellent characteristics, but tends to have slightly inferior abrasion and creep resistance. NITOFLON® filler-added sheets improve on these properties by adding graphite, glass fiber, and carbon fillers to the fluoroplastic.
NITOFLON® Special Reinforced Film
Nitto Denko’s unique manufacturing and processing technology has been utilized to produce a specially reinforced film with twice the tensile strength and 1.5 times the breakdown voltage of fluoroplastic films (In comparison with No.900UL).
NITOFLON® Adhesive Tape
Heat resistant adhesive tapes consist of a variety of substrates with mainly silicon adhesive coatings.
NITOFLON® Impregnated Glass Cloth
NITOFLON® Impregnated Glass Cloth is made by sintering carefully selected glass cloth impregnated with PTFE. The combination of the excellent properties of PTFE with the mechanical strength and thermal stability of glass cloth provides new possibilities and functions.
