Until recently, however, these characteristics have made fluoroplastics difficult to process which restricted their applications. Nitto Denko solved these problems by applying its own processing technology, such as sputter etching techniques, precision engineering technology, and composite technology using different materials. Nitto Denko’s technology has opened up a host of new possibilities for fluoroplastics, such as passing the UL Flammability Standards in the USA. NITOFLON is now used in a very wide range of applications, from electronics to household products.
