Optical Semiconductor Sealing Transparent Epoxy Resin
Having pioneered the transparent sealing resin industry, Nitto Denko has been supplying products to customers since the late 1960s.
This transparent resin is used mainly to protect delicate optical devices from heat and water vapor.
The products come in two different forms: two-component liquid types for casting and potting applications, and tablet types for transfer molding applications. Some common usages of the optical devices include the sealing of LEDs used in high mount stop lights and meter panels of automobiles, as backlights for cell phones, and as remote controllers for TVs and air conditioners, as well as in the sealing of optical receivers for the autofocus in cameras, the IrDA of bidirectional communication devices, and optical pick-ups for CD/DVDs..
