EPT SEALER can fill a variety of gaps, in order to shut out heat, water, sound, or vibrations. This product is a highly functional sealing material developed by Nitto Denko, combining EPDM rubber foam, which boasts the best durability and weatherability of all general rubber materials, with Nitto Denko’sunique adhesive technology.  With its excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance, this material can perform its designed function in a stable manner over a long period of time.  Product lineup includes flame resistant type, soft type, higher level foam type, and so on, to meet various needs.

Features
•  The main constituent is EPDM rubber foam, which boasts superior heat resistance, weatherability and chemical resistance (to acids and alkalis) compared with general purpose rubbers.
•  Excellent foaming technology enables control of expansion over a range of 3 to 20 times original size.
•  Variety of cell structures, from closed and semi-closed cell to open cell, are made available by Nitto Denko’s extensive foaming process technology.

IMG Test method: U-shaped 10mm wide test specimens were punched out and placed between acrylic and aluminum plates for compression to a preset load. Then the test specimens were filled with water to the depth of 100mm, and checked for leakage.
