Fouling-Resistant
Low-Pressure Spiral RO Membrane Element LF10-D
Strong Fouling-Resistant Membrane Achieved by Neutralizing Electrical Charge on the Membrane Surface and Introducing Hydrophilic Radicals.
Outline
LF10-D is a high performance RO membrane element contributing to environmental protection by purifying contaminated water. The surface of conventional high rejection, low-pressure RO membranes was negatively charged and hydrophobic radicals existed, which caused susceptibility to the influence of heavy metals such as iron colloid and other metals or the absorption of charged substances. With Nitto Denko's high performance low-pressure RO membrane, LF10, its surface maintains neutral charge and adopts hydrophilic radicals to solve these problems. This product is available for a wide application, which enables the use for hard treatment as well as high-level pretreatment.
Features
- High rejection performance at 1.0-1.5MPa low-pressure operation. It improves the quality of treated water by separating dissolved elements to a high degree.
- Electrical charge on the membrane surface is neutral, so there is almost no impact from charged substances such as surface-active agents.
- Hydrophilic radicals on the surface of the membrane make the membrane much less fouled by heavy metals such as iron colloids and minor organic substances.
Applications
LF10-D is available for:
[Purification and recycling of contaminated water]
- High-level treatment of sewage or garbage seepage.
- Concentration and recycling of rinse water discharged from factories.
[Advanced treatment of clean water (underground water and river water)]
- Removal of dissolved iron and hardness.
- Removal of poisonous materials (arsenic, fluorine, nitrate nitrogen, etc.)
[Recovery of ultrapure rinse water discharged from semiconductor/liquid crystal factories]
[Various kinds of separation, refining or concentration]
