By covering the wound securely, the dressing prevents bacterial infection from the outside, reduces pain and maintains a moist wound environment, thereby enhancing natural healing. The hydrocolloid adhesive layer absorbs the exudates, forming a cushion of soft gel, and helps to keep the dressing firmly in place. The excellent adhesive strength and waterproof property of the dressing even allow the wearer to shower, without risking bacterial invasion, loss of exudate, or accidental peeling or slipping-off. |

In addition to incorporating a highly moisture-permeable yet waterproof backing film, this dressing uses a remarkably permeable adhesive, and therefore permits the wearer to shower without excessive skin maceration.
