Transdermal Drug Delivery Patches

These TDD products do not put too much load on the digestive tract and liver as oral medicines can, avoid the pain of injection, and alleviate the adverse effects associated with transient excessive absorption of drugs by controlling drug administration, thereby alleviating anxiety and offering more comfort to patients. Transdermal Patch for Treatment of Ischemic Heart Disease

This transdermal patch with isosorbide dinitrate contained in the adhesive, treats ischemic heart diseases such as angina pectoris. When applied to the chest or upper abdomen, it releases the drug contained in our proprietary crystal reservoir system, thereby contributing to therapeutic improvement of cardiac function. This product also alleviates skin irritation using our proprietary Lipo-Gel adhesive, and has earned an excellent reputation as an easy-to-use, wearable remedy from doctors and patients alike.

Transdermal Patch for Local Anesthesia

This patch is the first transdermal bronchodilator product in the world with tulobuterol, a sympathetic adrenaline ß2-receptor stimulant. It is a once-a-day use product that sustains drug concentration in the blood and has been developed through extensive research with the aims of achieving sustained efficacy and decreased levels of adverse effects.
Respiratory function has a circadian rhythm and is known to decrease from around midnight through early morning, generally known as a “morning dip.” In patients suffering from the symptoms of bronchial asthma, attacks often occur in the early morning, caused by the morning dip, and is a major stress factor for many patients as well as caregivers. This product offers a long-sustained bronchodilating effect using a “chronotherapeutic” delivery method, in which medication is administered in accordance with biological rhythms (intensity of asthma and timing of attacks). The product’s usefulness has been clinically recognized for improving various symptoms, including dyspnea caused by airway obstructive disorders.

Transdermal Patch for Local Anesthesia

This transdermal patch anesthetizes skin to relieve pain caused by the insertion of indwelling needles. Pain caused by injection or associated with periodical treatment involving injections can be psychologically damaging to patients, reducing the benefits of treatment. Realizing a wearable form of anesthesia, this product delivers local anesthetic directly to the skin at a high concentration level.
