Among many types of plastics, polyimide has a top-rate heat resistance while having superior mechanical strength and insulation. By manufacturing this polyimide all the way from the raw materials, Nitto Denko ' s unique technology has processed with a high degree of accuracy to make seamless belts. Also, by dispersing a various types of fillers and by surface treatment process, added functions such as semi-conductivity, thermal conductivity and surface releasability. Nitto Denko highly-functional polyimide belts with superior properties are used for fusing/transfer belts.

Applications

As advances are made in color technology in photocopiers and LBPs, rirements are increasing for more compact, speedier, higher definition products that are energy-saving. Conventional methods (rolls and drums) have not been able to meet these stringent demands, whereas the reliability of this polyimide belt makes it suitable for use in intermediate transfer parts, where the toner is temporarily retained before transfer to paper, and in fusing parts, where the toner is melted for application to paper, etc.
